Project Controls Manager - London - Hybrid working

Project: We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Controls Manager to work within the transportation sector. The role will be supporting a variety of major rail, road, and bus infrastructure projects and frameworks along with some property projects.

This will involve providing support to the Programme Controls Lead ensure that information concerning content (e.g., deliverables, risk, issues) is managed effectively within the project team. Engaged in assisting the improvement of predictability and efficiency for the programmes project delivery capability. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working Lead application of specific Project Controls methods, techniques and tools.

  • Good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies.

  • Able to advise on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively.

  • Able to manage projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes.

  • Able to play key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals delivering Projects Controls services and responsible for staff development.

  • As a project controls specialist, stays up to date with key industry / professional trends.

  • In depth knowledge of project controls tools & software (e.g., MS Excel, portfolio software, MS Project, PRA, Primavera P6)

  • Provide effective and timely advice to clients through providing basic commentary and analysis

  • Focus on attention to details and checking project controls inputs, recording and reports produced.

About You

You have proven relevant experience in project management or project controls environment in a similar cost role in a construction or consultancy background. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
